बृहत्सेन-सुतां राजल्
लक्ष्मणां लक्षणैर् युताम्
छित्त्वा मत्स्यम् अरीन् जित्वा
जग्राह भगवान् हरिः

bṛhatsena-sutāṃ rājal
lakṣmaṇāṃ lakṣaṇair yutām
chittvā matsyam arīn jitvā
jagrāha bhagavān hariḥ

bṛhatsenaof Bṛhatsena; sutām—the daughter; rājanO king; lakṣmaṇām—Lakṣmaṇā; lakṣaṇaiḥ—with virtues; yutām—endowed; chittvā—cutting; matsyam—a fish; arīn—enemies; jitvā—defeating; jagrāha—took; bhagavānLord; hariḥ—Kṛṣṇa.

English translation of verse 6.8.19:

O king, after piercing a fish and defeating many rivals, Lord Kṛṣṇa took virtuous Lakṣmaṇā, the daughter of King Bṛhatsena.
