The Garga-samhita Verse 6.8.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 8 (The Marriages of All the Queens) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

भगवान् दुर्यशो-लिप्तो
नागरैस् तु वनं गतः
प्रसेनम् अश्वं सिंहं च
हतं प्रेक्ष्य महा-मते

bhagavān duryaśo-lipto
nāgarais tu vanaṃ gataḥ
prasenam aśvaṃ siṃhaṃ ca
hataṃ prekṣya mahā-mate

bhagavānthe Supreme Personality of Godhead; duryaśaḥ—with infamy; liptaḥanointed; nāgaraiḥ—with people of the city; tu—indeed; vanam—to the forest; gataḥwent; prasenam—Prasena; aśvam—the horse; siṃham—the lion; ca—and; hatam—killed; prekṣya—seeing; mahā-mate—O noble-hearted one.

English translation of verse 6.8.7:

O noble-hearted one, Lord Kṛṣṇa, His good reputation tainted by the rumor, went with some people of the city to the forest. There He saw Prasena, the horse, and the lion, all of them dead.
