The Garga-samhita Verse 6.8.6, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 8 (The Marriages of All the Queens) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

कृष्णेन निहतो भ्राता
मणिग्रीवो वनं गतः
नायातः स्व-सभा-मध्ये
इति सत्राजितो ऽब्रवीत्

kṛṣṇena nihato bhrātā
maṇigrīvo vanaṃ gataḥ
nāyātaḥ sva-sabhā-madhye
iti satrājito 'bravīt

kṛṣṇena—by Lord Kṛṣṇa; nihataḥkilled; bhrātā—the brother; maṇigrīvaḥwearing the jewel on his neck; vanam—to the forest; gataḥ—gone; na—not; āyātaḥ—returned; sva-sabhā-madhye—in the assembly; iti—thus; satrājitaḥ—Satrajit; abravīt—said.

English translation of verse 6.8.6:

Satrājit said: When my brother, wearing the jewel around his neck, went to the forest, Kṛṣṇa killed him. That is why my brother has not returned to his people.
