सत्राजिताय सूर्येण
दत्तः साक्षात् स्यमन्तकः
उग्रसेनाय स मणिः
श्री-कृष्णेनाभियाचितः

satrājitāya sūryeṇa
dattaḥ sākṣāt syamantakaḥ
ugrasenāya sa maṇiḥ
śrī-kṛṣṇenābhiyācitaḥ

satrājitāya—to Satrajit; sūryeṇa—by the sun-god; dattaḥgiven; sākṣātdirectly; syamantakaḥthe Syamantaka jewel; ugrasenāya—for Ugrasena; sa—that; maṇiḥ—jewel; śrī-kṛṣṇena—by Lord Kṛṣṇa; abhiyācitaḥ—requested.

English translation of verse 6.8.2:

When the sun-god gave the Syamantaka jewel to Satrājit, Lord Kṛṣṇa asked that the jewel be given to King Ugrasena.
