The Garga-samhita Verse 6.7.37, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 6 of Chapter 7 (The Marriage of Shri Rukmini) of Canto 6 (dvaraka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

अहं ममेति भावो ऽयं
जगतो बन्ध-कारणम्
ताभ्यां विरहितो भावो
मोक्ष एव न संशयः

ahaṃ mameti bhāvo 'yaṃ
jagato bandha-kāraṇam
tābhyāṃ virahito bhāvo
mokṣa eva na saṃśayaḥ

aham—I; mama—mine; iti—thus; bhāvaḥthe concept; ayamthis; jagataḥ—of the world; bandha-kāraṇam—the source of bondage; tābhyām—by them; virahitaḥdevoid; bhāvaḥ—the state; mokṣaliberation; eva—indeed; na—not; saṃśayaḥ—doubt.

English translation of verse 6.7.37:

"The thoughts, 'It is I' and 'It is mine' bind one to the material world. When one becomes free from these material thoughts of pride and possessiveness he attains liberation. Of this there is no doubt.
