श्री-नारद उवाच
रुक्मिण्या हरणं श्रुत्वा
मित्राणां च पराभवम्
प्रतिज्ञाम् अकरोद् रुक्मी
शृण्वतं सर्व-भुभुजाम्
śrī-nārada uvāca
rukmiṇyā haraṇaṃ śrutvā
mitrāṇāṃ ca parābhavam
pratijñām akarod rukmī
śṛṇvataṃ sarva-bhubhujām
śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; rukmiṇyā—of Rukmiṇī; haraṇam—the kidnapping; śrutvā—hearing; mitrāṇām—of friends; ca—and; parābhavam—the defeat; pratijñām—a vow; akarot—did; rukmī—Rukmi; śṛṇvatām—hearing; sarva-bhubhujām—of all the kings.
