The Garga-samhita Verse 6.6.29, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. गद-बाणैर् भिन्न-कुम्भा
मध्ये मध्ये विदारिताः
विरेजुः पतिता भूमौ
कूष्माण्ड-सकला इव

gada-bāṇair bhinna-kumbhā
madhye madhye vidāritāḥ
virejuḥ patitā bhūmau
kūṣmāṇḍa-sakalā iva

gada-bāṇaiḥ—by Gada's arrows; bhinnabroken; kumbhāḥelephants' heads; madhye—in the midst; madhye—in the midst; vidāritāḥ—severed; virejuḥ—were manifested; patitāfallen; bhūmau—to the ground; kūṣmāṇḍa-sakalāgreat gourds; iva—like.

English translation of verse 6.6.29:

Severed by Gada's arrows, many elephant heads fell to the ground like great gourds.
