एवम् उक्त्वा क्रोध-परा
जगृहुः शस्त्र-संहतिम्
विसृज्य क्रीडणाक्षादीन्
दंशिताः सैन्य-सम्युताः
evam uktvā krodha-parā
jagṛhuḥ śastra-saṃhatim
visṛjya krīḍaṇākṣādīn
daṃśitāḥ sainya-samyutāḥ
evam—thus; uktvā—speaking; krodha-parā—angry; jagṛhuḥ—took; śastra-saṃhatim—a host of wepaons; visṛjya—abandoning; krīḍaṇākṣādīn—games of dice and other diversions; daṃśitāḥ—bitten; sainya-samyutāḥ—with their armies.
English translation of verse 6.6.16:
Speaking these words as they threw down their dice games and other diversions, the angry kings, their pride bitten, assembled their armies and took up a host of weapons.
