The Garga-samhita Verse 6.5.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. अस्यैव भार्या भवितुं हि रुक्मिणी
योग्यास्ति नान्ये ऽत्यवदन् पुरौकसः
दत्त्वा स्व-पुण्यानि विवाह-हेतवे
श्री-कृष्ण-लावण्य-कला-निबन्धकाः
asyaiva bhāryā bhavituṃ hi rukmiṇī
yogyāsti nānye 'tyavadan puraukasaḥ
dattvā sva-puṇyāni vivāha-hetave
śrī-kṛṣṇa-lāvaṇya-kalā-nibandhakāḥ
asya—of Him; evaindeed; bhāryā—the wife; bhavitum—to be; hi—indeed; rukmiṇī—Rukmiṇī; yogyā—suitable; asti—is; na—not; anye—others; atyavadan—said; puraukasaḥ—the people of the city; dattvā—giving; sva-puṇyāni—own pious credits; vivāha-hetave—for the purpose of the wedding; śrī-kṛṣṇa—of Śrī Kṛṣṇa; lāvaṇya-kalā-nibandhakāḥ—entralled by Śrī Kṛṣṇa's handsomeness.
English translation of verse 6.5.14:
Enthralled by Śrī Kṛṣṇa's handsomeness, the people of Kuṇḍina City said,
"Rukmiṇī should marry Kṛṣṇa. No one be He should marry her." The people of Kuṇḍika City donated the pious karmas of their previous births so that Kṛṣṇa could marry Rukmiṇī.
