दुरात् सन्दृश्यते तस्मात्
कुण्डिनं तु पुरं परम्
दीर्घ-दुर्ग-समायुक्तं
सप्त-योजन-वर्तुलम्

durāt sandṛśyate tasmāt
kuṇḍinaṃ tu puraṃ param
dīrgha-durga-samāyuktaṃ
sapta-yojana-vartulam

durāt—from afar; sandṛśyate—is seen; tasmāt—from that; kuṇḍinam—Kundina; tu—indeed; puramthe city; param—great; dīrghagreat; durgafortress; samāyuktam—with; sapta-yojana-vartulam—seven yojanas around.

English translation of verse 6.4.24:

In the distance they could see the great city of Kuṇḍina, which stood within a great fortress 56 miles around.
