अथ राजा जरासन्धो
योद्धुम् अभ्युदितः पुनः
आहूय मागधान् विप्रान्
मुहूर्तादेश-कारिणः

atha rājā jarāsandho
yoddhum abhyuditaḥ punaḥ
āhūya māgadhān viprān
muhūrtādeśa-kāriṇaḥ

athathen; rājāKing; jarāsandhaḥJarasandha; yoddhum—to fight; abhyuditaḥeager; punaḥ—again; āhūya—calling; māgadhān—of Magadha; viprān—the brāhmaṇas; muhūrtādeśa-kāriṇaḥ—giving instruction fro the proper time.

English translation of verse 6.2.39:

Then King Jarāsandha, eager to fight again with Lord Kṛṣṇa, called together the great astrologer-brāhmaṇas of the Māgadha country.
