मुचुकुन्दो यत्र चास्ते
मन्धातृ-तनयो महान्
असुरेभ्यः पुरा रक्षां
देवानां यश् चकार ह
mucukundo yatra cāste
mandhātṛ-tanayo mahān
asurebhyaḥ purā rakṣāṃ
devānāṃ yaś cakāra ha
mucukundaḥ—Mucukunda; yatra—where; ca—and; āste—is; mandhātṛ-tanayaḥ—the son of King Mandhata; mahān—great; asurebhyaḥ—from the demons; purā—previously; rakṣām—protection; devānām—of the demigods; yaś—who; cakāra—did; ha—indeed.
English translation of verse 6.2.14:
In that cave stayed King Mandhātā noble son Mucukunda, who in ancient times protected the demigods from the demons.
