ननाद तेन ब्रह्माण्डं
सप्त-लोकैर् बिलैः सह
विचेलुर् दिग्-गजास् तारा
एजद्-भू-खण्ड-मण्डलम्

nanāda tena brahmāṇḍaṃ
sapta-lokair bilaiḥ saha
vicelur dig-gajās tārā
ejad-bhū-khaṇḍa-maṇḍalam

nanāda—echoed; tena—by that; brahmāṇḍam—the universe; sapta-lokaiḥ—with seven planets; bilaiḥ—with outer space; sahawith; viceluḥ—shook; dig—of the directions; gajāḥthe elephants; tarathe stars; ejad-bhū-khaṇḍa-maṇḍalam—the earth.

English translation of verse 6.1.18:

The entire universe, with the seven planetary systems and the vast regions of outer space, echoed with that sound. The earth, the stars, and the elephants that hold up the directions all trembled.
