The Garga-samhita Verse 6.1.17, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. बाणान्धकारे सञ्जाते
शत्रु-सेना-समाकुले
टाङ्करं शार्ङ्ग-धनुषः
शार्ङ्ग-धन्वा चकार ह

bāṇāndhakāre sañjāte
śatru-senā-samākule
ṭāṅkaraṃ śārṅga-dhanuṣaḥ
śārṅga-dhanvā cakāra ha

bāṇāndhakāre—in a darkness of arrows; sañjāte—manifested; śatru-senā-samākule—the enemy armies; ṭāṅkaram—twanging; śārṅga-dhanuṣaḥ—of the Śārṅga bow; śārṅga-dhanvāthe holder of the Śārṅga bow; cakāradid; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 6.1.17:

When the enemy armies darkened the sky with a shower of arrows, Lord Kṛṣṇa filled the sky with the twanging sounds of His Śārṅga bow.
