एवम् अन्ये ऽपि राजानो
जरासन्ध-वशानुगाः
प्राणैः सहायं कुर्वन्तौ
जरासन्धस्य मैथिल

evam anye 'pi rājāno
jarāsandha-vaśānugāḥ
prāṇaiḥ sahāyaṃ kurvantau
jarāsandhasya maithila

evam—thus; anye—other; api—also; rājānaḥ—kings; jarāsandha-vaśānugāḥ—vassals of Jarasnadha; prāṇaiḥ—with their lives; sahāyam—help; kurvantau—doing; jarāsandhasya—of Jarasnadha; maithilaO king of Mithila.

English translation of verse 6.1.16:

O king of Mithilā, many other kings, Jarāsandha's vassals, gave their lives to help him in the battle.
