अक्षौहिणीभिर् विंशत्या
तिस्र्भिश् चापि सम्वृतः
रम्यां महा-पुरीं राजन्न्
आययौ बलवान् नृपः

akṣauhiṇībhir viṃśatyā
tisrbhiś cāpi samvṛtaḥ
ramyāṃ mahā-purīṃ rājann
āyayau balavān nṛpaḥ

akṣauhiṇībhiḥ—akṣauhiṇīs; viṃśatyā—with twenty; tisrbhiḥ—three; cāpi—and; samvṛtaḥaccompanined; ramyām—beautiful; mahā-purīm—great city; rājann—O king; āyayau—went; balavānpoweful; nṛpaḥ—king.

English translation of verse 6.1.6:

Accompanied by 23 akṣauhiṇī divisions, powerful King Jarāsandha went to beautiful Mathurā City.
