शयन-नगराच् छुद्धाद्
ईशान्यां दिशि संस्थितम्
स्थानं गङ्गा-तटे रम्यं
कण्टकाद् उत्तरे ऽभवत्

śayana-nagarāc chuddhād
īśānyāṃ diśi saṃsthitam
sthānaṃ gaṅgā-taṭe ramyaṃ
kaṇṭakād uttare 'bhavat

śayana-nagarāt—from Śayana-nagara; śuddhāt—pure; īśānyām—to the north; diśi—direction; saṃsthitam—situated; sthānam—place; gaṅgā-taṭe—on the Gaṅgā's shore; ramyam—beautiful; kaṇṭakāt—from Kaṇṭaka; uttare—north; abhavat—was.

English translation of verse 5.24.95:

To the north of Śayana-nagara and Kaṇṭhaka-tīrtha is a beautiful place on the Gaṅgā shore.
