The Garga-samhita Verses 5.24.64-65, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 24 (The Killing of the Kola Demon) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तस्य शिऋष्णा करं दत्वा
वरं ब्रूहीत्य् उवाच ह
यदि प्रसन्नो भगवान्
अनुग्रह्यो ऽस्मि वा यदि
सर्वोत्तमां भागवतीं
संहितां शुक-वक्त्रतः
निर्गतां देहि मां स्वामिन्
कलि-दोष-हरां पराम्

tasya śiṛṣṇā karaṃ datvā
varaṃ brūhīty uvāca ha
yadi prasanno bhagavān
anugrahyo 'smi vā yadi
sarvottamāṃ bhāgavatīṃ
saṃhitāṃ śuka-vaktrataḥ
nirgatāṃ dehi māṃ svāmin
kali-doṣa-harāṃ parām

tasya—of Him; śiṛṣṇā—head; karam—hands; datvā—placing; varambenediction; brūhī—please give; iti—thus; uvāca—said; ha—indeed; yadi—if; prasannaḥpleased; bhagavānthe Lord; anugrahyaḥthe object of mercy; asmi—I am; vā—or; yadi—if; sarvaof all; uttamām—the best; bhāgavatīṃ saṃhitām—Śrī Bhāgavatī-saṃhitā; śuka-vaktrataḥ—from the mouth of Śukadeva Gosvāmī; nirgatām—come; dehiplease give; mām—me;- svaminO LOrd; kaliof Kali-yuga; doṣathe faults; harām—removing; parām—transcendental.

English translation of verses 5.24.64-65:

Placing a hand on His devotee's head, Lord Balarāma, Ask for a benedcition."

Māṇḍūkadeva said, "If the Lord is pleased wth Me, or if the Lord feels compassion on Me, then, O Lord, please give me the Bhāgavatī-saṃhitā, which has come from the mouth of Śukadeva Gosvāmī, and which removes the evils of the age of Kali."

Note: Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura quotes these two verses in His Śrī Navadvīpa-dhāma-māhātmya, Pramāṇa-khaṇḍa.
