The Garga-samhita Verse 5.24.59, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 24 (The Killing of the Kola Demon) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

तत्र दानं द्विजातिभ्यो
दत्वा सद्-गुण-भोजनम्
ततो योजनं एकं च
देवं माण्डूक-सम्ज्ञकम्

tatra dānaṃ dvijātibhyo
datvā sad-guṇa-bhojanam
tato yojanaṃ ekaṃ ca
devaṃ māṇḍūka-samjñakam

tatra—there; dānamcharity; dvijātibhyaḥ—to the brāhmaṇas; datvā—giving; sad-guṇa-bhojanam—delicious food; tataḥthen; yojanaṃ ekam—one yojana; ca—and; devam—the Deity; maṇḍuka-samjñakam—named Maṇḍuka.

English translation of verse 5.24.59:

There He gave delicious foods in charity to the brāhmaṇas. Then He went eight miles away to the devotee named Māṇḍūkadeva.
