The Garga-samhita Verse 5.24.38, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 24 (The Killing of the Kola Demon) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

भ्रामयन् बाल इव तं
प्रतूलं स इतस् ततः
पातयाम् आस भू-पृष्ठे
कमण्डलुम् इवार्भकः

bhrāmayan bāla iva taṃ
pratūlaṃ sa itas tataḥ
pātayām āsa bhū-pṛṣṭhe
kamaṇḍalum ivārbhakaḥ

bhrāmayan—whirling about; bālaa child; iva—like; tam—him; pratūlam—cotton; sa—he; itaḥ—here; tataḥand there; pātayām āsa—threw; bhū-pṛṣṭhe—to the ground; kamaṇḍalum—a kamandalu; iva—like; arbhakaḥ—a child.

English translation of verse 5.24.38:

Whirling him around and around as a child whirls a cotton swab, Lord Balarāma threw the demon to the ground as a child throws a kamaṇḍalu.
