The Garga-samhita Verse 5.24.22, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 24 (The Killing of the Kola Demon) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

आगतं वीक्ष्य तं नागं
मत्तं कोलेन नोदितम्
तताड मुसलेनासौ
वज्रेणेन्द्रो यथा गिरिम्

āgataṃ vīkṣya taṃ nāgaṃ
mattaṃ kolena noditam
tatāḍa musalenāsau
vajreṇendro yathā girim

āgatam—coming; vīkṣyaseeing; tam—that; nāgam—elephant; mattammaddened; kolena—bo Kola; noditam—sent; tatāḍa—struck; musalena—with His club; asau—He; vajreṇa—with the thunderbolt; indraḥIndra; yathā—as; girim—a mountain.

English translation of verse 5.24.22:

Seeing the maddened elephant, pressed on by Kola, charging Him, Lord Balarāma struck it with His club as Indra strikes a mountain with his thunderbolt.
