The Garga-samhita Verse 5.20.57, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 20 (The Liberation of Ribhu Muni During the Rasa-dance Festival) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

दोर्भ्यां प्रगृह्य हृदये
तं निधाय कृपाकरः
आश्वास्य कल्याण-करं
करं दिव्यं दधार ह

dorbhyāṃ pragṛhya hṛdaye
taṃ nidhāya kṛpākaraḥ
āśvāsya kalyāṇa-karaṃ
karaṃ divyaṃ dadhāra ha

dorbhyām—with both arms; pragṛhyaembracing; hṛdaye—to His chest; tam—him; nidhāyaplacing; kṛpākaraḥ—merciful; āśvāsyacomforting; kalyāṇa-karam—auspicious; karam—hand; divyam—transcendental; dadhāra—held; ha—certainly.

English translation of verse 5.20.57:

With both arms merciful Lord Kṛṣṇa embraced him, holding him to His chest.

Lord Kṛṣṇa comforted him and touched him with His auspicious hand.
