The Garga-samhita Verse 5.20.45, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 20 (The Liberation of Ribhu Muni During the Rasa-dance Festival) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

हे ऋभो इति कृष्णेन
प्रोक्तम् उच्चैर् वचः शुभम्
न श्रुतं तेन किञ्चिद् वा
चरमं प्रापितेन वै

he ṛbho iti kṛṣṇena
proktam uccair vacaḥ śubham
na śrutaṃ tena kiñcid vā
caramaṃ prāpitena vai

he ṛbhaḥ—O Ṛbhu; iti—thus; kṛṣṇena—by Lord Kṛṣṇa; proktam—addressed; uccaiḥloudly; vacaḥwords; śubham—beautiful; na—not; śrutam—heard; tena—by him; kiñcitsomething; vā—or; caramam—the verge of death; prāpitena—attained; vai—indeed.

English translation of verse 5.20.45:

When in a loud a sonorous voice, Lord Kṛṣṇa called, O Ṛbhu!" the sage could not hear anything, for he was on the verge of death.
