अथ रात्र्यां हरिः साक्षात्
कार्त्तिक्यां रास-मण्डले
गत्वा ननाद मुरलीं
गोपीभी राधया सह
atha rātryāṃ hariḥ sākṣāt
kārttikyāṃ rāsa-maṇḍale
gatvā nanāda muralīṃ
gopībhī rādhayā saha
atha—then; rātryām—at night; hariḥ—Kṛṣṇa; sākṣāt—directly; kārttikyām—in the moth of Karttika; rāsa-maṇḍale—in the rasa dance circle; gatvā—going; nanāda—sounded; muralīm—His flute; gopībhī—the gopīs; rādhayā—and Rādhā; saha—with.
English translation of verse 5.20.28:
During the month of Kārttika entering the rāsa-dance circle with Rādhā and the gopīs, Lord Kṛṣṇa played His flute.
