गायन्त आरान् नृप-नन्द-नन्दनं
नृत्यन्त आचालित-पीत-वाससः
वंशी-धरा वेत्र-विषाण-पाणयः
प्रहर्षिता दर्शन-लालसा भृशम्
gāyanta ārān nṛpa-nanda-nandanaṃ
nṛtyanta ācālita-pīta-vāsasaḥ
vaṃśī-dharā vetra-viṣāṇa-pāṇayaḥ
praharṣitā darśana-lālasā bhṛśam
gāyantaḥ—singing; ārān—near; nṛpa-nanda-nandanam—the son of King Nanda; nṛtyantaḥ—dancing; ācālita—moving; pīta—yellow; vāsasaḥ—garments; vaṃśī-dharā—holding a flute; vetra—a stick; viṣāṇa—a buffalo horn bugle; pāṇayaḥ—in hand; praharṣitā—delighted; darśana-lālasā—yearning to see Him; bhṛśam—greatly.
English translation of verse 5.19.22:
Flutes, sticks, and bugles in their hands, very happy, and eager to see Kṛṣṇa, the gopas sang and danced, shaking their yellow garments.
