The Garga-samhita Verse 5.18.22, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-उद्धव उवाच
कथं लिखसि राधे त्वं
कथं दुःखं करोषि हि
सर्वं तस्मै वदिष्यामि
व्यथां त्वल्-लेखनं विना

śrī-uddhava uvāca
kathaṃ likhasi rādhe tvaṃ
kathaṃ duḥkhaṃ karoṣi hi
sarvaṃ tasmai vadiṣyāmi
vyathāṃ tval-lekhanaṃ vinā

śrī-uddhava uvāca—Śrī Uddhava said; katham—who?; likhasi—write; rādhe—O Rādhā; tvam—You; katham—how?; duḥkham—suffering; karoṣi—You do; hi—indeed; sarvam—all; tasmai—to Him; vadiṣyāmi—I will tell; vyathām—the suffering; tval-lekhanam—Your writing; vināwithout.

English translation of verse 5.18.22:

Śrī Uddhava said: O Rādhā, why must You write? Why must You be unhappy in this way? Even without You writing a letter, I will tell Kṛṣṇa everything of Your distress.
