श्री-सत्त्व-वृत्तय ऊचुः
पूर्वं कष्ट-गतं भक्तं
ध्रुवं कायाधवं च वै
पश्चाद् ररक्ष कृपया
न पूर्वं दीन-वत्सलः
śrī-sattva-vṛttaya ūcuḥ
pūrvaṃ kaṣṭa-gataṃ bhaktaṃ
dhruvaṃ kāyādhavaṃ ca vai
paścād rarakṣa kṛpayā
na pūrvaṃ dīna-vatsalaḥ
śrī-sattva-vṛttaya ūcuḥ—the sattva-vṛtti-gopīs said; pūrvam—before; kaṣṭa-gatam—suffering; bhaktam—devotee; dhruvam—Dhruva; kāyādhavam—Prahlāda; ca—and; vai—indeed; paścāt—then; rarakṣa—protected; kṛpayā—with mercy; na—not; pūrvam—before; dīna-vatsalaḥ—kind to the distressed.
