The Garga-samhita Verse 5.17.11, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 17 (The Gopis Describe Their Remembrance of Sri Krsna) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

स्रि-जह्नवि-युथ उवच कद तथस्मत्-समयो भविस्यति यथ पुरन्ध्रि-समयह् प्रद्र्च्यते चोकम् परम् म कुरुत व्रजग्गनह् सद न कस्यपि जयह् परजयह् स्रि-जह्नवि-युथ

sri-jahnavi-yutha uvaca kada tathasmat-samayo bhavisyati yatha purandhri-samayah pradrcyate cokam param ma kuruta vrajagganah sada na kasyapi jayah parajayah sri-jahnavi-yutha

uvaca—the group,of gopis headed by Jahnavi said; kadawhen?; tatha—then; asmat—of us; samayah—the time; bhavisyati—will be; yatha—as; purandhri-samayah—the time of the city girls; pradrcyate—is seen; cokam—lament; param—great; ma—don't; kurutado; vrajagganah—O girls of Vraja; sadaalways; na—not; kasyapiof someone; jayahthe victor; parajayah—the defeated.

English translation of verse 5.17.11:

The group of gopis headed by Sri Jahnavi said: O girls of Vraja, don't lament, saying, "Now is the time for the girls of Mathura City. When will our time come?"
