The Garga-samhita Verse 5.16.20, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 16 (Comforting Sri Radha and the Gopis) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

तथ गोपि-गनह् सर्वे भुसननम् चयम् चुभम् ददुह् प्रसन्न हे रजन्न् उद्धवय महत्मने

tatha gopi-ganah sarve bhusananam cayam cubham daduh prasanna he rajann uddhavaya mahatmane

tatha—then; gopi-ganah—the gopis; sarve—all; bhusananam—of ornaments; ca—and; ayamthis; cubham—beautiful; daduh—gave; prasannahappy; he—O; rajann—king; uddhavaya—to Uddhava; mahatmane—noble-hearted.

English translation of verse 5.16.20:

Then all the gopis happily gave many ornaments to noble-hearted Uddhava.
