The Garga-samhita Verse 5.16.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 16 (Comforting Sri Radha and the Gopis) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

स्रि-नरद उवच अथ प्रसन्न स्रि-रध चन्द्रकन्तौ मनि चुभौ रस-रग्गे चन्द्र-दत्तौ उद्धवय ददौ न्र्प स्रि-नरद

sri-narada uvaca atha prasanna sri-radha candrakantau mani cubhau rasa-ragge candra-dattau uddhavaya dadau nrpa sri-narada

uvaca—Sri Narada said; athathen; prasannasatisfied; sri-radhaSri Radha; candrakantau—a candrakanti jewel; manijewel; cubhau—splendid; rasa-ragge—in the rasa-dance circle; candra-dattau—placed by the moon; uddhavaya—to Uddhava; dadau—gave; nrpaO king.

English translation of verse 5.16.14:

Sri Narada said: O king, happy to hear this, Sri Radha gave to Uddhava two candrakanta jewels that moonlight had placed in the rasa-dance arena.
