स्रि-नरद उवच एवम् वदन्त्यो व्रज-गोप-वध्वह् सन्तद्य सुतम् च मुखे ऽग्गुलिभ्यम् पप्रच्छुर् अरद् गत-बुद्धिम् अर्तम् त्वरम् वदैतत् किल कस्य यनम् स्रि-नरद

sri-narada uvaca evam vadantyo vraja-gopa-vadhvah santadya sutam ca mukhe 'ggulibhyam papracchur arad gata-buddhim artam tvaram vadaitat kila kasya yanam sri-narada

uvaca—Sri Narada said; evam—thus; vadantyah—speaking; vraja-gopa-vadhvah—the vraja-gopis; santadya—hitting; sutam—the charioteer; ca—and; mukhe—on the fice; aggulibhyam—with fingers; papracchuh—asked; arat—near; gata-buddhim—fool; artam—pained; tvaram—at once; vadatell; etat—that; kilaindeed; kasyaof whom?; yanam—chariot.

English translation of verse 5.15.12:

Sri Narada said: Speaking these words, and slapping his face, the gopis asked the pained and bewildered charioteer, Whose chariot is this? Tell us at once!"
