स्रि-नरद उवच पथित्व तद्-धस्त-पत्रम् च्रिदमद्य व्रजर्भकह् भ्र्चम् अच्रुनि मुन्चन्तह् प्रहुर् गद्गदय गिर स्रि-नरद

sri-narada uvaca pathitva tad-dhasta-patram cridamadya vrajarbhakah bhrcam acruni muncantah prahur gadgadaya gira sri-narada

uvaca—Sri Narada said; pathitva—after reading; tad-dhasta-patram—the letter in his hand; cridamadya—headed by Sridama; vrajarbhakah—the boys of Vraja; bhrcam—greatly; acruni—tears; mu 24cantah—shedding; prahuh—said; gadgadaya—choked with emotion; girawith words.

English translation of verse 5.13.31:

Sri Narada said: After reading the letter in their hands, the boys of Vraja burst into tears. Then, their voices choked with emotion, they spoke.
