Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:
दुरत् तम् अगतम् विक्स्य ज्नत्व क्र्स्नम् व्रजर्भकह् उचुह् परस्परम् ते वै क्र्स्न-दर्चन-ललसह्
durat tam agatam viksya jnatva krsnam vrajarbhakah ucuh parasparam te vai krsna-darcana-lalasah
durat—from far away; tam—him; agatam—coming; viksya—seeing; jnatva—understanding; krsnam—Krsna; vrajarbhakah—the boys of Vraja; ucuh—said; parasparam—among themselves; te—they; vai—indeed; krsna-darcana-lalasah -yearning to see Krsna.
English translation of verse 5.13.23:
Seeing Uddhava coming, and thinking he was Krsna Himself, the gopa boys, eager to see Krsna, spoke among among themselves.
