The Garga-samhita Verse 5.11.8, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 11 (The Stories of Kubja and Kuvalayapida) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

शूर्पनखोवाच श्री-रामो मे वरो भूयाद्
वरं देहि सतां प्रियः
त्वं देव-देव परमः
सर्वासाम् आशिषां प्रभुः

śūrpanakhovāca śrī-rāmo me varo bhūyād
varaṃ dehi satāṃ priyaḥ
tvaṃ deva-deva paramaḥ
sarvāsām āśiṣāṃ prabhuḥ

śūrpanakhā uvāca—Śūrpanakhā said; śrī-rāmaḥŚrī rāma; me—of me; varaḥthe husbvand; bhūyāt—may be; varamboon; dehiplease give; satām—of the saintly persons; priyaḥdear; tvam—you; deva-devathe master ofthe demigods; paramaḥ—great; sarvāsām—of all; āśiṣām—blessings; prabhuḥ—the master.

English translation of verse 5.11.8:

Śūrpanakhā said: You are the great master of the demigods. You are dear to the great saints. You have the power to give all benedictions. Please grant me that Śrī Rāma will become my husband.
