The Garga-samhita Verse 5.11.7, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 11 (The Stories of Kubja and Kuvalayapida) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

ततः प्रसन्नो भगवान्
देव-देव उम-पतिः
एत्य तत् पुष्करं तीर्थं
वरं ब्रूहीत्य् उवाच ह

tataḥ prasanno bhagavān
deva-deva uma-patiḥ
etya tat puṣkaraṃ tīrthaṃ
varaṃ brūhīty uvāca ha

tataḥthen; prasannaḥpleased; bhagavānthe Lord; deva-devathe master of the demigods; uma-patiḥthe husband of Umā; etyacoming; tat—that; puṣkaraṃ tīrtham—to Puṣkara-tīrtha; varamblessing; brūhi—speak; iti—thus; uvāca—said; ha—indeed.

English translation of verse 5.11.7:

Pleased by this, Lord Śiva, who is the master of the demigods and the husband of Umā, came to Puṣkara-tīrtha and said, "Ask for a boon."
