The Garga-samhita Verse 5.10.3, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. को ऽयं तु रजकः पूर्वं
अवधीद् यं हरिः कथम्
अहो यस्य महज्-ज्योतिः
कृष्णे लीनं बभूव ह

ko 'yaṃ tu rajakaḥ pūrvaṃ
avadhīd yaṃ hariḥ katham
aho yasya mahaj-jyotiḥ
kṛṣṇe līnaṃ babhūva ha

kaḥ—who?; ayamhe; tu—indeed; rajakaḥthe washerman; pūrvam—before; avadhīt—killed; yam—whom; hariḥKṛṣṇa; katham—why?; ahaḥ—Oh; yasya—of whom; mahaj-jyotiḥthe greqat light; kṛṣṇe—in Lord Kṛṣṇa; līnam—merged; babhūva—was; ha—certainly.
