The Garga-samhita Verse 5.9.48, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
इति श्रुत्वाक्रूर-मुखात्
श्री-कृष्णो भगवान् हरिः
अर्धं राज्यं पाण्डवेभ्यः
कौरवाणां बलाद् ददौ

śrī-nārada uvāca
iti śrutvākrūra-mukhāt
śrī-kṛṣṇo bhagavān hariḥ
ardhaṃ rājyaṃ pāṇḍavebhyaḥ
kauravāṇāṃ balād dadau

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; iti—thus; śrutvāhearing; akrūra-mukhāt—from Akrūra's mouth; śrī-kṛṣṇaḥŚrī Kṛṣṇa; bhagavānLord; hariḥHari; ardham—half; rājyam—the kingdom; pāṇḍavebhyaḥ—to the Pāṇḍavas; kauravāṇām—of the Kauravas; balāt—forcibly; dadau—gave.

English translation of verse 5.9.48:

Śrī Nārada said: After hearing this from Akrūra's mouth, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, forced the Kauravas to give half their kingdom to the Pāṇḍavas.
