पाण्डवानां हि कुशलं
द्रष्टुं गच्छ गजाह्वयम्
शीघ्रम् आगच्छ तान् दृष्ट्वा
सर्वान् दान-पते भवान्
pāṇḍavānāṃ hi kuśalaṃ
draṣṭuṃ gaccha gajāhvayam
śīghram āgaccha tān dṛṣṭvā
sarvān dāna-pate bhavān
pāṇḍavānām—of the Pāṇḍavas; hi—indeed; kuśalam—the welfare; draṣṭum—to see; gaccha—go; gajāhvayam—to hastināpura; śīghram—at once; āgaccha—return; tān—them; dṛṣṭvā—seeing; sarvān—all; dāna-pate—O leader of they who are generous; bhavān—you.
English translation of verse 5.9.44:
Go at once to Hastināpura and see whether the Pāṇḍavas are happy and prosperous. O leader of the kind and generous, when you have seen everything, then quickly return here.
