लोकाभिरामौ जन-भूषणोत्तमौ
चान्तर् बहिः सर्व-जगत्-प्रदीपकौ
गो-विप्र-साधु-श्रुति-धर्म-देवता-
रक्षार्थम् अद्यैव यदोः कुले गतौ
lokābhirāmau jana-bhūṣaṇottamau
cāntar bahiḥ sarva-jagat-pradīpakau
go-vipra-sādhu-śruti-dharma-devatā-
rakṣārtham adyaiva yadoḥ kule gatau
loka—of the worlds; abhirāmau—the happinesses; jana-bhūṣaṇottamau—the best of ronaments ofr the people; ca—and; antaḥ—inside; bahiḥ—outside; sarva-jagat—all the worlds; pradīpakau—the two lamps; gaḥ—the cows; vipra—brāhmaṇas; sādhu—devotees; śruti—Vedas; dharma—religion; devatā—and the demigods; rakṣā—of protection; artham—for the purpose; adya—now; eva—indeed; yadoḥ—of the Yādavass; kule—in the dynasty; gatau—gone.
English translation of verse 5.9.41:
You are the two joys of the worlds, the two ornaments of the people, the two lamps that light up all the universes and the realms beyond the universes. To protect the cows, brāhmaṇas, devotees, demigods, Vedas, and the principles of religion, You have both taken birth in the Yādava dynasty.
