चतुर्-अशीति-लक्षेषु
नरकेषु निपातिताः
यैर् यैः श्रुता ध्वनिस् ते ते
जग्मुर् मोक्षं तु पापिनः

catur-aśīti-lakṣeṣu
narakeṣu nipātitāḥ
yair yaiḥ śrutā dhvanis te te
jagmur mokṣaṃ tu pāpinaḥ

catur-aśīti-lakṣeṣu—eight million four hundred thousand; narakeṣu—into the hellish worlds; nipātitāḥ—fallen; yaiḥ yaiḥ—by whomever; śrutāheard; dhvaniḥ—the sound; te te—they; jagmuḥ—attained; mokṣam—liberation; tu—indeed; pāpinaḥ—sinners.

English translation of verse 5.9.30:

Any of the sinners fallen in the eight million four hundred thousand hells there that heard that sound at once attained liberation.
