The Garga-samhita Verse 5.9.18, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 9 (The Happiness of the Yadus) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

श्री-समुद्र उवाच
भगवन् देव-देवेश
न मया बालको हृतः
हृतः पञ्चजनेनासौ
शङ्ख-रूपासुरेण वै

śrī-samudra uvāca
bhagavan deva-deveśa
na mayā bālako hṛtaḥ
hṛtaḥ pañcajanenāsau
śaṅkha-rūpāsureṇa vai

śrī-samudra uvāca—the ocean said; bhagavanO Lord; deva-deveśaO master of the demigods; na—not; mayāby me; bālakaḥ—the boy; hṛtaḥ—taken; hṛtaḥ—taken; pañcajanena—by Pancajana; asau—he; śaṅkha-rūpāsureṇa—a demon in the form of a conch; vai—certainly.

English translation of verse 5.9.18:

The ocean deity said: O Lord, O master of the demigods, I did not take the boy.

The conch-demon Pañcajana took him.
