The Garga-samhita Verse 5.9.10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. दत्तं श्री-कृष्ण-जन्मर्क्षे
धेनूनां नियुतं पुरा
ब्राह्मणेभ्यो ददौ शौरिर्
वस्त्र-माला-स्व्-अलङ्कृतम्

dattaṃ śrī-kṛṣṇa-janmarkṣe
dhenūnāṃ niyutaṃ purā
brāhmaṇebhyo dadau śaurir
vastra-mālā-sv-alaṅkṛtam

dattam—given; śrī-kṛṣṇa-janmarkṣe—on Lord Kṛṣṇa's birthday; dhenūnām—ifcows; niyutam—a million; purāpreviously; brāhmaṇebhyaḥ—to the Balarāmas; dadau—gave; śauriḥ—Vasudeva; vastra-mālā-sv-alaṅkṛtam—garments and ornaments.

English translation of verse 5.9.10:

Then Vasudeva gave a million cows, along with many valuable garments and ornaments, in charity to the brāhmaṇas. This was the charity that previously he gave in meditation on the day of Lord Kṛṣṇa's birth.
