राम-कृष्णौ सुतौ ज्ञात्वा
शौरिर् मोह-समाकुलः
देवक्या सहसोत्थाय
सस्वजे चाश्रु-पूरितः
rāma-kṛṣṇau sutau jñātvā
śaurir moha-samākulaḥ
devakyā sahasotthāya
sasvaje cāśru-pūritaḥ
rāma-kṛṣṇau—Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma; sutau—the two sons; jñātvā— understanding; śauriḥ—Vasudeva; moha-samākulaḥ—bewildered; devakyā—with Devakī; sahasā—at once; utthāya—rising; sasvaje—embraced; ca—and; aśru—with tears; pūritaḥ—filled.
English translation of verse 5.9.4:
Now thinking Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma his own sons, bewildered Vasudeva suddenly stood up. His eyes filled with tears, he and Devakī embraced their two sons.
