सृष्टिं तथा सुनामानं
मुद्गरेण बलो ऽहनत्
न्यग्रोधं भुज-वेगेन
कङ्कं वाम-करेण वै
sṛṣṭiṃ tathā sunāmānaṃ
mudgareṇa balo 'hanat
nyagrodhaṃ bhuja-vegena
kaṅkaṃ vāma-kareṇa vai
sṛṣṭim—Sṛṣṭi; tathā—then; sunāmānam—Sunama; mudgareṇa—with a club; balaḥ—Balarāma; ahanat—killed; nyagrodham—Nyagrodha; bhuja-vegena—with His arms; kaṅkam—Kanka; vāma-kareṇa—with His left hand; vai—indeed.
English translation of verse 5.8.41:
With the club Lord Balarāma killed Sṛṣṭi and Sunāma, with His arms He killed Nygrodha, and with His left hand He killed Kaṅka.
