आकाशात् पातयाम् आस
मञ्चोपरि रुषान्वितः
भग्न-दण्डो ऽभवन् मञ्चस्
तडित्-पाते यथा द्रुमः

ākāśāt pātayām āsa
mañcopari ruṣānvitaḥ
bhagna-daṇḍo 'bhavan mañcas
taḍit-pāte yathā drumaḥ

ākāśāt—from the sky; pātayām āsa—threw; mañcopari—into the box; ruṣānvitaḥ—angry; bhagna-daṇḍaḥ—broken; abhavat—became; mañcaḥ—the box; taḍit-pātein a thunderbolt; yathā—as; drumaḥ—a tree.

English translation of verse 5.8.28:

Angry Kṛṣṇa then threw him into the box at the arena. The box shattered like a tree struck by lightning.
