The Garga-samhita Verse 5.8.10, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 8 (The Killing of Kamsa) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

कूटं समागतं वीक्ष्य
बलदेवो महा-बलः
मुष्टिना पातयाम् आस
वज्रेणेन्द्रो यथा गिरिम्

kūṭaṃ samāgataṃ vīkṣya
baladevo mahā-balaḥ
muṣṭinā pātayām āsa
vajreṇendro yathā girim

kūṭam—Kuta; samāgatam—come; vīkṣyaseeing; baladevaḥBalarāma; mahā-balaḥstrong; muṣṭinā—with afist; pātayām āsa—hit; vajreṇa—with a thunderbolt; indraḥIndra; yathā—as; girim—a mountain.

English translation of verse 5.8.10:

Seeing Kūṭa coming, with a single punch Lord Balarāma knocked him to the ground as with his thunderbolt Indra knocks down a mountain.
