The Garga-samhita Verse 5.8.2, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 5 of Chapter 8 (The Killing of Kamsa) of Canto 5 (mathura-khanda).

गृहीत्वा भुज-दण्डाभ्यां
चाणूरं गगने बलात्
चिक्षेप सहसा कृष्णो
वातः पद्मम् इवोद्धृतम्

gṛhītvā bhuja-daṇḍābhyāṃ
cāṇūraṃ gagane balāt
cikṣepa sahasā kṛṣṇo
vātaḥ padmam ivoddhṛtam

gṛhītvāgrabbing; bhuja-daṇḍābhyām—with both arms; cāṇūram—Canura; gagane—into the sky; balāt—forcibly; cikṣepa—threw; sahasāsuddenly; kṛṣṇaḥLord Kṛṣṇa; vātaḥ—wind; padmam—a lotus; iva—like; uddhṛtam—lifted.

English translation of verse 5.8.2:

Suddenly grabbing him with both hands, Lord Kṛṣṇa threw Cāṇura into the sky, as a great wind uproots and throws a lotus flower.
