ग्रीवायां किल चाणूरं
भुज-वेगेन माधवः
कट्यां चोद्धृत्य सहसा
पातयाम् आस भू-तले

grīvāyāṃ kila cāṇūraṃ
bhuja-vegena mādhavaḥ
kaṭyāṃ coddhṛtya sahasā
pātayām āsa bhū-tale

grīvāyām—on the neck; kilaindeed; cāṇūram—Canura; bhuja-vegena—with the power of His arms; mādhavaḥ—Kṛṣṇa; kaṭyām—on the waist; ca—and; uddhṛtya—lifting; sahasāsuddenly; pātayām āsa—threw; bhū-tale—to the ground.

English translation of verse 5.7.49:

With one hand on his neck and the other on his waist, Kṛṣṇa suddenly picked up Cāṇūra and threw him to the gound.
