गृहीत्वा तं हरिं सद्यः
शुण्डा-दण्डेन नाग-राट्
उज्जहार ततस् तस्मान्
निर्गतो भार-भृद् धरिः
gṛhītvā taṃ hariṃ sadyaḥ
śuṇḍā-daṇḍena nāga-rāṭ
ujjahāra tatas tasmān
nirgato bhāra-bhṛd dhariḥ
gṛhītvā—taking; tam—Him; harim—Lord Kṛṣṇa; sadyaḥ—at once; śuṇḍā-daṇḍena—with its trunk; nāga-rāṭ—the king of elephants; ujjahāra—lifted; tataḥ—then; tasmān—from there; nirgataḥ—gone; bhāra-bhṛt—holding the burden; hariḥ—Lord Kṛṣṇa.
English translation of verse 5.7.20:
The regal elephant grabbed Kṛṣṇa in its trunk and lifted Him high, but in a moment Kṛṣṇa slipped from the elephant's grasp.
