महा-मात्रस् तदा क्रुद्धो
नोदयाम् आस तं गजम्
चीत्कारम् उत्कटं दिक्षु
कुर्वन्तं नन्द-सूनवे
mahā-mātras tadā kruddho
nodayām āsa taṃ gajam
cītkāram utkaṭaṃ dikṣu
kurvantaṃ nanda-sūnave
mahā-mātraḥ—the elerphant trainer; tadā—then; kruddhaḥ—angry; nodayām āsa—made to charge; tam—him; gajam—the elaphant; cītkāram—trumpeting; utkaṭam—great; dikṣu—in the directions; kurvantam—doing; nanda-sūnave—at Kṛṣṇa.
English translation of verse 5.7.19:
Angered, the elephant-trainer made the elephant, trumpeting in all directions, charge Lord Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda.
